The RANDYS History
The company that would become RANDYS Worldwide was founded in a truly American manner - It was started in a home garage. From humble beginnings and a knack for distribution, the company has grown from a local drivetrain repair shop to a global-reaching business that services all types of automotive installers, enthusiasts, teams, and racers in the off-road, street, track, restoration, customization, and general repair segments. Our manufactured brands, Yukon Gear & Axle, USA Standard Gear, Zumbrota Drivetrain, ICON Vehicle Dynamics, Dynatrac, Carli Suspension, Cognito Motorsports, Van Compass, and BulletProof Hitches represent the benchmark in the performance aftermarket and OE replacement industries.
| 1982 | The Start | In 1982, the founder, Randy Lyman, opens his first differential business in Sacramento, CA as a small service shop out of his garage. |
| 1986 | Parts Distribution | Randy begins parts distribution, fulfilling a new need for the customer. |
| 1989 | Moving North | Randy opens a small service shop in Redmond, WA. Along with repair work, the shop is also used for product testing, training, and research on the latest vehicle applications. |
| 1994 | Expands Facility | Randy relocates the shop north to Everett, WA, allowing for further expansion opportunities that focus on quality parts and distribution. |
| 2001 | Distribution Network | A second warehouse opens in Franklin, TN, offering faster service to the East Coast. |
| 2001 | Starts Manufacturing | Randy's Ring & Pinion begins manufacturing and distribution of the Yukon Gear & Axle line of quality aftermarket performance driveline products. |
| 2005 | West Coast Expansion | A third warehouse opens in Fresno, CA, offering next-day ground service to California. |

| 2015 | Linsalata | RANDYS Worldwide partners with Linsalata Capital. |
| 2016 | Drivetrain Coverage | RANDYS Worldwide broadens product reach by expanding its lines of driveline offerings across its brands. |
| 2017 | Adds A Leader in Remanufacturing | RANDYS acquires Zumbrota Bearing & Gear out of Minnesota, incorporating remanufactured transmissions, transfer cases, and associated components to the RANDYS drivetrain catalog. |
| 2018 | New Distribution Center | Service expands in the South by opening a distribution center in Arlington, TX. |
| 2019 | Tailwind | RANDYS Worldwide partners with Tailwind Capital. |

RANDYS acquires Dynatrac and its impressive ProRock series of high-performance axle assembles, driveline and suspension parts, and brake kits. |

RANDYS acquires Carli Suspension, a premier off-road suspension manufacturer of suspension lift systems, steering components, and suspension component rebuild kits. |

RANDYS partners with Greenbriar Equity Group with reinvestment by Tailwind Capital. |
| 2024 | Transfer Case Express | RANDYS acquires Transfer Case Express in Algona, IA, in its effort to continue to meet demand in the increasing remanufacturing segment targeted at transfer case products. |
| 2024 | Cognito Motorsports | RANDYS continues its rapid growth by acquiring Cognito Motorsports, a cutting-edge manufacturer of high-end suspension, steering, chassis, & armor for passenger trucks. |
| 2024 | Van Compass | Van Compass is added to the RANDYS family of brands, bringing expertise in designing premium suspension & armor upgrades for Sprinter, Transit, and ProMaster vans. |
| 2025 | BulletProof Hitches | RANDYS enters the towing channel by acquiring BulletProof Hitches, considering their industry-leading product quality and market dominance of adjustable trailer hitches. |
