Product details

Ready to experience the increased comfort and compliance benefits of a sway bar disconnect, without the tedious process of removing a sway bar link? The revolutionary AIRLYNX by Apex Designs is here to change the way you think about how a sway bar can work. While sway bars offer a huge benefit on road, and create much of the 'return to center' feel you get in the chassis, they can be detrimental to handling offroad and limit your articulation when you need it most. The concept is simple: replace the rigid link connecting your sway bar end to your suspension with these small links, each containing an air spring. The pressure inside the spring dictates the behavior of the sway bar, softening the initial rate on turning or impacts felt only by 1 corner at a time, like a pothole or diagonal driveway entry. This softening of the rate takes out a lot of the initial head toss, without completely eliminating the benefits of a sway bar. Think of it like a 'progressive' sway bar. AIRLYNX are perfect for the customer that wants the ability to exert fanatical control every aspect of suspension compliance and vehicle handling characteristics. These links allow you to fine-tune the air pressure inside them, which determines the way your sway bar will behave. Due to the extremely progressive nature of air springs like this, they maintain some return to center even at a very low pressure, but allow the 2 sides of your suspension to operate with much less restriction, increasing articulation and traction when off road. When fully inflated to maximum pressure range, they effectively lock out like a rigid link and preserve your original handling. Using these links is as simple as connecting a small mountain bike style air shock pump to fine tune the pressure. Because no tools are required, you can be done in a flash, typically while your tires are still airing up.
